Explore the delectable delights of the Caribbean at one of Mexico’s newest resorts. Powdery sand and warm, clear water await you at Riu Palace Peninsula Resort in Cancun. Surrounded by island flora and fauna, the resort is a laid-back paradise that offers fantastic tropical family getaways. From RiuLand kids’ club to Riu’s evening entertainment program, the resort ensures maximum chill with a plethora of activities and amenities sure to fit the whole family.
When you’re ready to hit the beach, grab some sunscreen and make your way to the palm-fringed seaside. Thirsty? Grab a drink from the beach bar, Tobago. Thirsty for fun? Try complimentary windsurfing, kayaking and snorkeling, or take the party to the pool for a free introductory scuba lesson. Afterward, relax on a pool lounger by one of the four on-site pools for some much deserved R&R. A swim-up bar is on hand when you crave a frosty drink.
After splashing your way to an appetite, make for one of six tasty dining options on-site. When a quick, casual meal is what you need, check out the goods at Las Olas, the hotel’s main buffet. Stop by Tamales when you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican spices. For a juicy steak or other grilled specialties, poolside Isla Mujeres is the place to be. And if you just want a tasty treat–you are on vacation, after all–the ice cream parlor, Capuchino, can cool you off with a sweet snack.
We went here for our Honeymoon in October 2012. We were in awe when we walked in to this beautiful resort. It was more than we ever hoped for. Our room looked over the pools and the beach. It was SO BEAUTIFUL. The rooms were clean and stocked every day. We loved the swim up bar and the different clubs they had here. You could honestly not leave this resort the whole trip and be very satisfied. We will be back next year!!!! CAN”T WAIT! Already looking to book again.

We were upgraded to that hotel and got an oceanview suite and now we know – our next visit to cancun is going to be here! The rooms are gorgeous, everything is brand new and modern. Food was amazing, staff were friendly and smiley.
We didn’t want to leave!!! The beach was beautiful and you can sit for a nice lunch or dinner buffet in an oceanview seats. And ordered the room service one night too 😉 The entertainment staff were professional and put up an incredible “Mayan” show. Even though it is described as a 5 star, it should be a 7 star!
