Steel drums and sweet breezes are therapy for daily stress, and the island vibe at Riu Negril in Jamaica is just what the doctor ordered. Leave your worries behind and step into all inclusive nightlife that cures stress: party with friends around two pools, or show off your moves at the sizzling Pacha Nightclub and dance to club beats till dawn.
Located on Bloody Bay Beach, the lounge chairs at Riu Jamaica are primo Negril real estate for dazzling sunsets, and you won’t want to miss the chicken at the beachside Jerk Hut. Spend your day mixing with guests from around the world at the lively pools, or chat at the swim-up bar over martinis before toweling off in time for dinner. From churrasco (Brazilian barbecue) at Rodizio to gourmet cuisine at Sir Andrew, make sure to make your reservations early! Live music and variety shows get guests moving after the sun sets, and don’t be afraid to get friendly at Pacha, where the drinks are included, but you bring the dancing.
We’ll put it bluntly; this is a great resort. The staff from top to bottom made our needs their top priority during our entire visit. The grounds were kept clean and enjoyable throughout. The area itself is great because both sides of their beach is clear of buildings and full of trees. The food was average resort food, nothing special. The rooms were comfortable but lacked modern amenities such as HD TV or a living area. All in all, we would stay there again. We enjoyed being outside of town as well as the service we were provided every step of the way at this beautiful / memorable resort.

We stayed here for a week in November during Thanksgiving. The beach is great, the water is clear and calm. You can lay on an air mattress in the bay. Bring one! You can stay where there is more activity by the pool or stay down by building 3 – 4 for a quiet, less populated area. The food wasn’t super awesome but it was good, we always found something we wanted to eat and still managed to gain weight while we were there. Room Tip: Ocean view is worth it. We loved sitting on our balcony watching the waves crash….
