Dreams can become reality at an all-inclusive paradise; Riu Jalisco is family-friendly and totally affordable, right on the shores of Banderas Bay in Nuevo Vallarta. The Spanish-style resort sports Moorish flourishes and a lush, Royal Palm-lined garden surrounds a twin-fountain pond on the path to a gorgeous mile-long stretch of Playa de Flamingos. Spectacular sunsets and spacious grounds with tons of activities for everyone helps ensure that your family will have a blast.
Start the day working on your tan while kids play in the calm Playa de Flamingos waters. Not in a beach mood? The kids can splash around the children’s pool, while you swim up to the bar for a margarita. When it’s time for food, Gran Dragon’s Asian cuisine delights with platters of bite-sized sushi. Taste authentic Brazilian fare at poolside Nayarit where rodizio-style dinners have servers carving delicious beef and chicken right at the table as in a traditional churrascaria. After everyone’s full, catch a nightly show or enjoy live music. Ready for a party? Head to Pacha for a night of clubbing, and if you want to check out a game, hit up the 24-hr Sports Bar.
We’ve been in different all-inclusive resorts in Puerto Vallarta 4 times, and Rio Jalisco is the best for beach and pools. Beach is about 120 yards, very clean, no stones. There is plenty of chaise-longues and plenty of shade under the palm trees. We walked about 2 miles north and south from Rio Jalisco and I believe that Rio Jalisco beach is the best.
This beautiful resort consists of 700 tastefully decorated guestrooms, all with unique features like a mini-bar and liquor dispenser. Both children and adults will enjoy the spacious facilities and the extensive activities and entertainment program, with something different for all tastes. There is an outstanding array of excellent bars and restaurants, just one of Riu’s many hallmarks.

We stayed for 1 week in mid February and had a fantastic time. The hotel, grounds and beach are beautiful. You can walk for miles on the beach and we found that our hotel had the most beach chairs and best set up of all the resorts that we saw on our walks. The food was excellent — so much variety!! The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to please.
